The Vietnam Intellectual Property Research Institute (VIPRI) in collaboration with the Economic Research Institute for Asian and East Asia (ERIA) organized a webinar titled “Exploiting Industrial Property Information on the IPPLATFORM platform” between Vietnam and Japan.
At the seminar, Japanese experts shared with the delegates the basics of inventions and trademarks, how to look up information on inventions and trademarks, and when and why to conduct patent search according to the practical experience of Japan and Vietnam.
At the end of the seminar, the delegates were able to participate in the competition of looking up inventions and trademarks on the IPPLATFORM platform. When the competition reaches its final point, the delegate of INVESTIP, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Na achieved the special prize in the afore-mentioned competition of industrial property information search.
The IPPLATFORM platform is a product of the project assigned to VIPRI to preside over the implementation. The IPPLATFORM platform is considered one of the most effective tools to promote information exploitation and to use industrial property services in the dynamic background of digital information. With the IPPLATFORM platform, related units can update and exploit data on intellectual property, look up the legal status of industrial property objects, and avoid infringing on the rights to previously protected industrial property.
