1. Set of Drawings/Photographs
For three-dimensional product designs, the set of drawings/photographs must include 7 views: 1 perspective view and 6 orthogonal views from six directions.
For two-dimensional products, the set of drawings/photographs must include at least one drawing or photograph.
The industrial design must be represented using solid lines. Dashed lines indicating partial designs are not accepted. The lines must be clear and sharp. The background color of photographs must be uniform and contrast with the color of the industrial design. All views must represent the industrial design at the same scale.
Duplicate or symmetrical views may be omitted, but any omitted views must be mentioned in the description with justifications.
The bottom view of large-sized and heavy products may be omitted. Similarly, views showing an excessively thin profile of the product may also be omitted.
For industrial designs of parts that are components of integrated products, if the design is complex, the examiner may require drawings/photographs showing the component within the integrated product to demonstrate the installation position and usage status of the part.
In some cases, the set of drawings/photographs may need to include additional views such as enlarged views, sectional views, etc., to clarify the industrial design.
2. Industrial Design Classification (Locarno Classification)
The classification index of the industrial design must be stated in the application form. If this index is missing or incorrect, the Intellectual Property Office will reclassify and charge a classification fee.
3. Name, Address, and Nationality of Author(s); Name and Address of Applicant(s)
These details must be provided in the industrial design application form.

The Intellectual Property Office requires the submission of the original Power of Attorney or a copy of a general Power of Attorney. There is no fixed deadline for submitting the Power of Attorney.
During the formality examination, if the application lacks the Power of Attorney, the Office will issue a Notification of Formality Examination Results requesting the applicant to submit it within 2 months from the filing date (extendable once for another 2 months).
Applicants are encouraged to submit the Power of Attorney proactively, preferably at the time of filing and no later than the submission of priority documents (if any) to avoid rejection due to missing authorization.
