General Information:

Mr. Nguyen Trong Tu is a licensed attorney under the Hanoi Bar Association and a registered Industrial Property Representative with over 20 years of experience in legal consultancy in the field of intellectual property. He first joined INVESTIP in 2008 and has now returned as Deputy General Director, overseeing and managing the professional activities of the Trademark Department and the Intellectual Property Enforcement Department.

– Bachelor of Law – School of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi

– Lawyer Practicing Certificate – Ministry of Justice

– Industrial Property Representative Certificate – Vietnam Intellectual Property Office (IPVN)

– Certificate in Intellectual Property Training – Japan Patent Office (JPO)

Experience:

Prior to rejoining INVESTIP, Mr. Tu served as a key member and partner at several law firms and industrial property representative organizations. With more than two decades of experience, he has supported numerous multinational corporations in securing and enforcing their intellectual property rights in Vietnam.

Mr. Tu specializes in providing in-depth advice on trademark protection strategies, handling opposition and appeal cases, and has extensive expertise in rights enforcement, combating counterfeiting, and addressing IP infringement. He also possesses practical experience in handling cases of unfair competition, copyright infringement, dispute resolution in court, and advising on franchise matters.
