DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE PATENT DEPARTMENT

Special Field: Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Biological, Biotechnological, etc.
Education: Ms. Tuyet Nhung graduated from Hanoi Open University – Biotechnology Faculty; Hanoi University – English language Faculty; and Hanoi Law University. She also completed the following courses: (i) “APEC IPi-Facilitator Program” that jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA); (ii) “Advanced International Certificate” jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA); and (iii) “Advance Training” on Intellectual Property organized by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IPVN) and Ho Chi Minh City Law University. Further, Ms. Tuyet Nhung obtained a Patent Attorney Certificate.
Experience:
After graduation, Ms. Tuyet Nhung worked in the Institute of Biological and Food Technology at Hanoi University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Researcher, where she obtained tremendous experience in biotechnology and biochemistry. After that, she worked at the Patent and Industrial Design Department of Banca IP Law Firm as a Patent Specialist for three years. Her main duties involved handling all the matters concerning patent and industrial design cases. Joining INVESTIP since 2012, she has worked at the Patent Department. Ms. Tuyet Nhung now is the Deputy Director of the Patent Department and in charge of the following sections: providing professional advice on all Vietnamese patent/design matters as well as advising on inquiries relating to Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar IP Law.
